The College of Charleston, The Medical University of South Carolina, The Citadel, Charleston Southern University, Denny’s, Boeing, The Chambers of Commerce and many other private, public and community organizations partnered to launch a unique initiative aimed at advancing the management of human differences in the workplace and community. Recent tragedies and the ongoing challenge of translating diversity into a core organizational and community strength suggests an urgent need to advance the understanding and management of human differences. We hope that you will join this expanding collaboration and help us reach our full potential as a diverse society.
Our initiative kicked off with a community forum and panel discussion on September 25th at the College of Charleston School of Professional Studies. This event brought together business leaders and practitioners, educators, politicians, community leaders and the broader community to explore and advance the management of human differences. The initiative emphasized a new approach to promoting inclusion and dialogue, and included highly interactive panel and community discussions integrated with art, music and food that highlighted the challenges and joys of human diversity.
TOGETHER WE CAN ADVANCE THE MANAGEMENT OF HUMAN DIFFERENCES IN SOUTH CAROLINA AND ESTABLISH A PATH TO PROGRESS.
