Intensive English


The Intensive English program is designed for non-native speakers of varying proficiency levels, who wish to pursue full-time English language study. Our comprehensive curriculum incorporates the fundamentals of ESL instruction - vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, reading and writing - with the study of literature, U.S. culture and enrichment topics. Students are provided with opportunities to practice their emerging skills within the community, with a program customized to their ability level.

TOEFL Exam Prep Course.


This course is designed to help students prepare for the Test of English as a Foreign Language, (TOEFL). Students taking this course should be advanced speakers of English and be planning to take the TOEFL this spring or summer. The 40 hours of class time will be spent focusing on test-taking skills, practice tests, and working on individual study areas where additional practice is needed. The goal of the class is to provide students with the strategies and confidence they need to take and pass the TOEFL exam.

  • 9 week session meets on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
  • Conveniently located in North Charleston at the corner of Paramount Drive and I-526 Access Road (Free Parking!)

Semester Abroad in the the South


Semester Abroad in the the U.S. is an immersive program that allows university students the opportunity to study English in a different cultural setting. Through experiential coursework and social interactions, students will develop increased confidence and English proficiency, while acquiring an understanding of U.S. cultural practices and traditions. From role-playing to local field trips, students will enjoy a lively and enriching learning experience.

Rainbow Studies Custom Program


The Rainbow Studies Custom Program offers small groups a distinctive opportunity to hone English-language skills while exploring a popular tourist destination. Based in Charleston, S.C., this one-to-four week summer program combines traditional classroom instruction with cultural outings; highlighting the rich history and charming architecture of the downtown area. Our engaging and experienced instructors will guide students through lessons designed to increase proficiency and expand cultural literacy.
