Designed for students who hold a basic understanding of general chemistry, physics, organic chemistry and biology, this course prepares students for the rigors of taking the Medical College Admission Test. Students will prepare a schedule to pursue their own study goals, as classes will be spent working as a community: reviewing concepts, learning test-taking techniques and refining study skills.
Participants view this course as a primer for future study; providing a glimpse into the dedication necessary to succeed in medical school.
The MCAT prep course originally scheduled to begin 02/16/2017 has been cancelled.
We regret any inconvenience this may have caused.
Rather than re-teaching individual concepts, the 36 hours of class time will be spent focusing on study skills, test-taking skills, and test preparation.
- Tuesdays will be used to review concepts, set study schedules, and learn test-taking techniques for the different sections (50 min blocks)
- Thursdays will be used to take practice tests and work through the questions as a community (80 min blocks)

Jordon recently defended his dissertation at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) where he investigated bacterial communication within environments of chronic infection. Currently, Jordon is Post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at MUSC where he is studying the link between DNA integrity and cancer.
